Review: Governors Ball Music Festival
Governor’s Ball Music Festivals is an annual musical event held in Randall’s Island in New York City. This annual New York Music event is the largest and longest-running Music festival in the country. It takes place in Randall’s Island just a few blocks away from Madison Square Garden, which is the home of the New York Knicks and New York Giants baseball teams. The New York Music festival, also known as the Governors Ball Music Festival, is held every July at Randall’s Island. This Music festival, like the annual Lincoln Center Arts Festival and other such events, is designed to help comics find their footing in the world of stand-up Music. A lot of comedians do not know where to begin, or even how to get started.
The Governors Ball Festival, just like the other festivals, is designed to help comics gain exposure. There are numerous comics performing throughout the entire weekend. Most of the performers are also known for playing a specific Music club in New York, such as Music clubs owned by The Music Store. There are many comics performing at the same time and it can be hard to determine who is who and what they’re doing.
Because of the popularity of the New York Music scene, many comedians have chosen to play at the Governor’s Ball Music Festival. It has become quite the industry. Many comic book publishers, television networks, and record labels have put out records based on the best performances from the Music festival. If you want to learn more about stand up Music, head to Randall’s Island this July.
