Luke Combs Breaks Billboard Record Set by Taylor Swift
Luke Combs sits at No. 1 on Billboard’s Best Country Albums chart this week, breaking a record set by Taylor Swift.
Combs’ latest project, What You See Is What You Get, spends its 25th week at n. No.1, making him the only country artist to have his first two albums to the top for 25 weeks. Swift’s self-titled debut album of 2006 spent 24 weeks at number 1. Its 2008 follow-up, Fearless, spent 35 weeks at number 1.
Combs’ 2017 debut album, This One’s For You, marked its 50th week at No. 1 on Billboard’s Best Albums chart in October 2019. In August 2019, Combs broke the record set by Randy Travis for most weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Album List by a male artist.
